Physical activity raises your body temperature and can cause you to overheat, which can be detrimental when engaged in physical activities such as cycling or running. But strapping on a Sports Cool Vest will provide cooling comfort from the start to the finish line. And even if you don’t wear it during physical activity, doing so afterward can speed the cool down process by restoring your core temperature.
The Sports Cool Vest is outfitted with a heavy duty front zipper, dual side elastic straps and over-the-shoulder adjustability for maximum hold that will fit a wide range of body sizes. And since it’s bound to get sweaty and dirty, it can also be conveniently cleaned in the laundry along with your regular clothing.

Summary: Glad I bought it, thinking of getting one for the wife, but know that there are limitations.
I've worn it twice golfing in the Florida late summer, close to 90 and very high humidity. The weather is now nice so I won't need them for several months.
The first time I lasted 7 holes, the weight got to me after a while. It's not that heavy, but any weight for hours is going to have an effect. I was still hot and sweating, but not getting dehydrated like normal.
The second time I went with two bags in the back and left the vest unzipped, which reduced the weight by half. Lasted all 18 holes switching out the bags at the turn. It took enough of the edge off the sun to make it definitely worthwhile. I wouldn't say the temperature was comfortable, but I would say that I will wear it any time I golf and it is hot.
To get an idea of what I mean by that, normally I have to drink 2 liters of water and I'm still dehydrated. I drank less than a liter with the jacket on and felt fine.
The only disappointment I had, the duration kind of relies on keeping the vest on. When I took it off the cooling bags were about 2/3 melted. Once they get to that point they will maintain a cooling but they don't seem to be able to cool anymore. In other words, had I left it on and zipped up they would have still worked for another hour. Taking it off and putting it on does not work well.
The sports cool vest really stays cool a long time. I use it to hike up and down a mountain, and after an hour the PCM is still solid and cold. I like the elastic straps to keep it tight to my body during running and to feel the cool more. The downsides: The vest is heavier and bulkier than I imagined. The top straps are close to the armpits and a little sharp, but so far I don't feel them digging in.
